Roger Federer is one of the most successful players when it comes to Wimbledon, winning 7 titles and 10 finals. Roger made his debut at Wimbledon in 1999 when he lost in the first round and then the rest is history. He has a winning record of 88.76% at Wimbledon and may be all these things make him one of the most successful and famous player at SW19.

1# 2008 FINAL VS RAFAEL NADAL
How can someone forget this epic match? A match that redefined tennis and a match that will be in history books for years to come. This match is many people’s pick for best match of all time and I obviously had to keep it at one. Federer and Nadal battled for 4 hours, 48 minutes, amid rain, wind and darkness. After losing the first two sets, Federer came back to win a pair of tiebreakers before falling in extra time. Federer lost the match by 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-7 (8), 9-7., and his dream of winning sixth straight title was also ruined by Nadal. . “I am very happy for me, but sorry for him because he deserved this title, too,” Nadal said. Federer added, “Probably my hardest loss, by far.”
2# 2009 FINAL VS ANDY RODDICKAfter losing last year’s final match to Rafa, Roger came back to Wimbledon to show that still the keys of this magnificent ground belongs to him, but in the final Andy Roddick had different plans. The man who previously lost two final to Roger was looking to create history but the king of tennis came back in the match and beated Andy in tough five sets 5-7, 7-6(6), 7-6(5), 3-6, 16-14 win. It was the 15th Grand Slam singles title for the Swiss champion, moving him ahead of Pete Sampras on the all-time list.

Not in the wildest dream anyone thought that a 19 year old boy will end legend Pete Sampras’ 31-match winning streak at the All England Club. Sampras, a seven-time champion looking for his fifth consecutive title, suffered his earliest exit in a decade.

Rafael Nadal lost to Roger last year in four sets but this time the spanied was giving his best to create history and it looked the same Especially when Rafa was up 40-15 on Roger’s serve twice in the fifth set. Roger won the final by 7-6 (7), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-2 and Federer became only the second man in the previous century to win five straight Wimbledon titles.

Roger came to 2014 as a 32, fourth seed and that year he did not even entered any grand slam final, so he had lot to prove as the match started. Down two sets to one, Federer came back to force a dramatic fifth set. In the end, Djokovic — five years younger — was just a little better. Federer’s backhand into the net gave Djokovic his second Wimbledon title and his seventh major, tying him with John McEnroe and Mats Wilander. Roger lost the match by 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-4. At the end Djokovic praised Federer, “Thank you for letting me win today.”
6 # 2010 ROUND FIRST VS ALEJANDRO FALLARoger entered the 2010 championship as the defending champion, and no one thought that the first round match could be that exciting and difficult for the legend, not even Roger himself. Falla won the first two sets and managed to produce four break points at 4-all in the third set that would have left him serving for the match. He even did serve for the match in the fourth, but the Colombian could not convert. It was a nail biting match, and roger won by 5-7, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (1), 6-0.It was only the sixth time in 888 matches, Federer came back from being down two sets to love. But unfortunately he lost to Tomas Berdych in the quarters.

Before the match started Federer was the favorite and looked like he will win it easily. But as the Frenchmen won the first two sets the pressure can be clearly seen on Roger and his team and yes in the fans too. But after that Federer rallied against the No. 32-ranked Frenchman and won the match with the score of 4-6, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (6), 6-1. Federer finished with a flourish. “My God,” Federer said, “it was brutal. Benneteau: He’s like a rock. This victory kept Federer’s chances for a 17th major alive. Four matches later, he won by beating Andy Murray.
8 # 2015 FINAL VS DJOKOVICA year after the Swiss lost to the Serbian Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, the two were back to showcase some of the brilliant tennis skills and performances. And Andy on the other hand breaked into tears after the match and forced to say “It’s a shame that i can cry like roger but cannot play like him”.
