2016, CAT registration begins, check details
The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) began yesterday. Candidates who are interested to take up CAT 2016 examination on December 4, 2016 have to register themselves on the official website. As per the date schedule for CAT examination for the year 2016, the exam will be held on December 6, 2016 by the IIMs.
Who is eligible for CAT 2016?
-Candidate should have a undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute. –Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, 45% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates.
– Candidates in their final year of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent can also apply.

How to apply?
– Candidates have to apply online on the official website.
-To initiate the registration process, candidates have to first generate registration ID and password by creating account.
-Candidates have to enter their personal details like Name, Date of birth, email address, country, mobile number and declare these details.
– On successful submission candidates will have to fill in the application form in the prescribed format.
-Candidates are required to take a print out of the filled-in application form for future reference.
Selection Procedure
– Candidates will be shortlisted based on the results of CAT 2016 which will be available during 2nd week of January 2017.
-The shortlisted candidates will be selected based on their performance in Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal
– Interviews (PI).
– Along with CART 2016 performance, candidates will be judged based on their previous academic performance.

-Last date for online registration: September 22, 2016
-Download of admit card for CAT 2016: October 18, 2016
-Last date for download of admit card: December 4, 2016
-Date of CAT 2016 entrance examination: December 4, 20 16
– Results of CAT 2016 will be released: 2nd week of January 2017 (Tentative)
