2016: SBI PO main exam call letter to be released today

The State Bank of India (SBI) will release the call letter or admit card for its probationary officers (PO) main examination on today. Candidates who have qualified the preliminary examination can download their call letters from the state-run bank’s official website  after they are published. The PO Here are the steps to download the call letters:

Go to the official website http://www.sbi.co.in/

Click on the link for ‘careers’

Click on the link for call letters for PO main exam

Enter the required details and press submit

The call letter will be displayed on the screen

Take a print-out of the call letter

Main examination will be held on July 31 (Sunday).

In the examination candidates who are going to give exams must give their admit cards with them in examination hall the main examination will have an objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks. The descriptive test will take place immediately after the completion of the objective test.

Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the objective test. The questions will be divided into four sections and there will be separate timing for every section. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the tests by securing passing marks that will be decided by the SBI. The descriptive test will be of 30 minutes duration. It will be to test the candidates’ English language ability (letter writing and essay).The descriptive test papers of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the objective tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in the objective test.

There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted in case of a wrong answer. However, no marks will be deducted if a question is left blank or not answered.
