Congratulations Joe Wicks for yet another accomplishment of hitting the Guinness World Record for the largest Highest Intensity Interval Training Class. It was a 30 minutes workout headed by Joe Wicks aka The Body Coach in which 3804 people sweated in 29 degree heat at the London’s Hyde Park.
Joe Wicks, age 30, is fitness coach who specializes in cooking and fitness books. His first book ‘Lean in 15: 15 Minutes Meals’ was the bestselling book in 2015. He is also an online nutrition coach.
At the event, he practiced high knees with punches, squats, pushups, rope climbers, reverse lunges and reverse crunches which were followed well by the crowd. He told The Sun, “Seeing all those people out there, I was so nervous at first. It’s just so great that these people have come from all over to do this on a Wednesday night. Honestly, any amount of books sold or DVD records broken, nothing compares to seeing people do my workouts and feel good after. What’s next after this?!”
He also brought his 1 year old nephew Oscar Wicks on the stage to do squats with him. He congratulated and showed his gratitude to all the people who helped him making the event successful, he said, “Go enjoy a gin and tonic or glass of wine to celebrate.”
