  1. MOOD INDIGO, IIT Bombay,

Moodi is the annual cultural fest of the IIT-B. This is an event usually held in kdecember. This event started by a group of music enthusiasts with a less budget of Rs. 5000, and Moodi has turned out to be fully fledged fun since it was founded in 1971. This event gives students lot of experience of life, in just 4 days of event. From morning to night unstoppable activities keep you engage.

Accommodation: 1500\- for 4 days excluded food. No registration fee charge.

Competition on: Literary arts, speaking arts, fine arts, dance competition, design and digital arts, lifestyle and dramatics, and documentary competition.

Concerts: contemporary Night, EDM night, livewire night, night and popular night with artist like Zakir Husain, Hariharan, Raghu Dixit, Karsh Kale collective, Euphoria, Indian Ocean, Akcent , Karnivool, Kataonia, Asha Bhosle, R D Burman, Salim Sulaiman, Shankar  Ehsaan Loy, Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Mohit  Chouhan have performed at Moodi.

  1. OASIS, BITS Pilani

Oasis is a 96 hour fest organized in the month of October by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Started as a small fest in 1971, Oasis is well known to receive participation from over 200 colleges in the country.

Events include: exposure- photography competition cum exhibition, Rocktaves-one of the best rock competition in the country, Choreo as well as Mr. and Ms. Oasis. Others include dance, music, drama, fashion show, treasure hunts and stage shows.

  1. UNMAAD, IIM Bangalore

Unmaad-at-IIM-Bangalore

 

This is the annual cultural fest of Indian institute of management Bangalore. This event held for three days.

Events include: Dance, literature, music fest, fine arts, dramatics and flag ship events like Mr. and Mrs. Unmaad, B-school of rock and haute couture. Online events like quizzes and Sher-o-shayari.

Unmaad was held between 27-29 January 2017.

  1. MALHAR, St. Xavier’s College Mumbai

Malhar is the cultural festival of St. Xavier’s College Mumbai. It has been 35 years since its foundation. This fest evolved one of the largest youth festivals in the country.

This fest includes events cultural contests in literary, performing arts and fine arts categories, along with a number of workshops on different themes.

The malhar experience is offered not only on campus, but outside too.

  1. RENDEZVOUS, IIT Delhi

Rendezvous is the cultural fest of Indian institute of technology Delhi. This festival conducted in October every year is known to have approximately 50,000 students visiting from about 350 colleges spread all across the country.

Events include: dance club, debating, fashion shows, fine arts, music club, standup comedy, photography and films club, quiz, open mice poetry and many more

Saarang

Saarang is an annual cultural fest of IIT Madras. The cultural fest is a 5 days fest. This is the second largest college fest. This event already had been done between 4-7 January 2017.  Various kinds of event organized here to explore your hidden talent. Every year this event held.

Events include: fine arts, Choreo, dance, quiz, design, food fest, and game flex, oratory, life style, media, music, road shows, word games, writing.

7. Incident National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK)

Incident is the annual cultural fest of the national institute of technology Karnataka in Surathkal, Karnataka. The fest is five -day-long event. This event held in the month of March. This event conducts at national level, where fest brings together students from different colleges.

Incident hosts a variety of event s over the course of 4 days. This event held in March.

  1. RIVIERA, VIT, Vellore

Riviera is the annual cultural carnival and international sports of the Vellore institute of Technology. it is an international 4-day event that  consist of sports competition, cultural and social events along with concerts .

It has a wide variety of competitions and events which range from dramatic, literary, musical, dance, sports and many more. It is usually held in the month of February every year.

And I guess these are the fests where everything includes from exploration to learning, this event meant to celebrate diversity, thoughts and ideas.
