A Adoring Lover Can Be Good To Your Health: Study
If the new research is to be believed a doting lover can be good to your health and can led a healthy life. The University at Buffalo-led research team found that high-quality relationships are associated with better physical and mental health.
Researcher Ashley Barr said that health befits come quickly with the good relationships also. He said “we see detrimental effects from low-quality relationships–particularly, those low-quality relationships that last a long time”.
The research used a Iowa Youth and Families Project, a sample of all-white youth coming from two-parent, married families in rural Iowa, Barr said about one-third of the sample experienced relatively large changes in their relationships over a two-year period.
Barr noted that the longer people are in high-quality relationships, or the faster they get out of low-quality relationships, the better their health.
The study appears in Journal of Family Psychology.
