After Reliance Jio prime plans, one of the country’s largest telecom operators Bharti Airtel is now offering 28GB data for Rs. 345 and countering Reliance Jio prime plans. This offer is along with free local and STD voice calls for a period of 28 days. This offer has been launched after Reliance Jio announced their membership plan and prime plans starting from Rs. 303 on 28 February 2017.
In this offer the Airtel customers can use 1 GB internet per day, divided into 500MB data during the day and the remaining 500MB data between 12 am and 6 am. Recently Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil mittal said that the new plans announced by Jio are very aggressive and unsustainable.
He also said that the telecom industry will respond to it with more competitive plans and additional data offering. “Tariffs that they (Jio) have announced are still very aggressive, which means you got to respond. You got to do more packages…you have to throw more data. All those things need to be done”, he said.
Vodafone and Idea the India’s second and third largest telecom operators have also come up with new plans with unlimited data, voice calls for their customers to counter Reliance Jio prime plans starting from 1st April. The new plans of Vodafone starting from Rs 342 give unlimited calls and 28 GB data per month to the customers.
