Alastair Cook’s Ton And Joe Root’s Double Ton Hits Record Book
The second test between England and Pakistan is going at Old Trafford and both day one and two saw some of the best batting skills and many records breaking.
Don Bradman is the greatest batsman the game has seen. He finished his career with 29 Test hundreds and Alastair Cook draws level with the legend on day one of the second test as he hit his 29 centaury. This was also Cook’s 11th hundred as captain for England and he equalled the tally of Graham Gooch, who has as many as England captain.
On the other hand Joe Root became just the sixth batsman in 132 years to score a Test double century at Old Trafford . He was just the second England cricketer to do so after Ken Barrington in 1964 and the first player from any country since South Africa’s Gary Kirsten in 1998.
