Everyone has their own ways and methods to get calm and fight stress. For some it may be listening to their favorite songs or for some it may be enjoying a long drive. But here is someone who is very different from all of us and has a very weird yet different way of fighting stress.
Meet Polly the goat. She is suffering from anxiety, along with other serious health issues including blindness and neurological problems. She is a rescued goat who lives in a group of goats called Goats of Anarchy, looked after by Leanne Lauricella.
One day Leanne went for shopping at Marshalls before Halloween. She was browsing the aisles when something caught her eye a child’s duck costume and she bought it for her cute baby Polly. But something weird happened as soon as she dresses Polly duck costume. Polly suddenly got calm,” Lauricella said white talking to The Dodo. She thinks that the costume works in the same way as being swaddled in a blanket. But no other T-shirt or blanket has the same effect on Polly as her favorite duck costume. She further added.
After seeing the magical effects of the duck costume, Leanne also bought Polly a pig, fox, caterpillar costumes but the duck is her all time favorite. The dress is also helpful when Lauricella has to run working, but can’t leave Polly alone at home. When Lauricella once stopped at a local store, she put Polly into her duck suit, and the little goat snoozed in the shopping cart.
Leanna is also little concerned about what will happen once Polly grows bigger and do not fit in the duck costume. But she’s hoping that Polly’s new friend, a tiny goat named Pocket, will have the same soothing effects.
