Few days ago Arnab Goswami shocked all of us by resigning from the post of Times Now’s editor-in-chief. But now the fire brand journalist is back with his new venture which will be called Republic. According to reports, his channel will start airing before the crucial Uttar Pradesh elections next year.
As per ‘The News Minute’ the new venture will mainly be based out of Mumbai. It also quoted sources as saying that a major TV distribution network and an advertising and media buying group, are a part of investors who are coming together to back the senior journalist. The website report also said that all the investors are ‘Indian’ and not from abroad.
During his farewell speech to Times Now employees, Arnab Goswami had pointed out that he would head an ‘independent’ media venture. Within minutes of the announcement, social media went gaga over Arnab Goswami’s new venture and started supporting him. Here are some of the reactions.
