Barack Obama to hold talks with Theresa May
U.S President Barack Obama will meet the new British Prime Minister Theresa May on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Hangzhou, China, a White House official has said. ‘This will be the first formal meeting between the two leaders since Prime Minister May took the office in July,’ the official said.
In Hangzhou, the President and the Prime Minister ‘will discuss a range of bilateral and global issues, and as close friends and steadfast allies, the United States and United Kingdom continue to enjoy an enduring special relationship, he said.

Downing Street officials said that the discussions would explore how the relationship would look once Britain has left the EU. Mrs May will see a number of world leaders at the summit where she will seek to convince them that a Britain outside the UK remains “open for business”.
