If you are still not over with the much talked about marriage of Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, then get ready for another! As Zaheer Khan announced his engagement to actor Sagarika Ghatge in the midst of IPL 2017, the cricketer finally sealed the deal with a dazzling rock on his girlfriend Sagarika Ghatge’s finger. The couple, who stole the thunder at Yuvraj-Hazel‘s big-day, appearing together at the event, met through a common friend and was seeing each other for more than six months before taking their relationship a step forward.  After keeping it under wraps, Sagarika finally came out and opened about her relationship in February this year. In an interview, she said, “Let’s just say I am in a very happy space right now… I will remain just the way I am: low profile as ever. I have no shame in admitting that I draw into my shell easily and come out only when I have to speak. I have big respect for Zaheer’s game.”

Announcing the news of his engagement on Twitter, Khan posted a picture of the two, where the ‘Chak De! India’ girl is seen flaunting that ring on her finger. “Never laugh at your wife’s choices. You are one of them !!! Partners for life. #engaged @sagarikavghatge,” he tweeted alongside. Zaheer, who is currently the captain of Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing IPL season, stole some time and proposed to Sagarika, as the actor replied with a “Yes”.

Who is Sagarika Ghatge?

The actor who believes in keeping a low profile found fame with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Chak De India. Ironically, she played a hockey player in the film who is dating a cricketer. When the cricketer starts taking her for granted and wants her to give up the sport, she ensures she gets the maximum number of goals in an international hockey tournament to show him girls are no less than boys. She has done a handful of films like Chak De India, Rush, a Marathi film Premachi Goshta and Punjabi film Dildariyaan. The 31-year-old was also a contestant in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 6. She went on to become a finalist.
