Every couple wants their wedding to be the best day of their life, but this couple didn’t just wanted it to be special, but wanted their best day to be adventurous. Meet James Sissom, 35, and Ashley Schmieder, 32, a couple from California who travelled a three-week trip to elope on their wedding spot, The Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. They went through altitude sickness and sub zero temperature to create their important day the best of their life. Even though it was freezing cold there, the bride wore a beautiful white gown.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Ashley said, “After much deliberation, we decided a traditional wedding was not the right fit for us. As much as we would have loved to share our special day with our family and friends, we were both drawn to the idea of eloping during an incredible vacation. We both are avid lovers of the outdoors, but we knew the three week Everest Base Camp trek would be far more physically and mentally demanding than anything we’ve experienced.” The moments of their trip were collected by Charleton Churchill – an adventure wedding photographer.
