CRISTIANO RONALDO: A MAN WITH A HUMBLE HEART
Recently Forbes declared Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest earning athlete in the world with a annual earnings of $88m (£60.6m) from salary, bonuses and endorsements. His off-pitch earnings of $32m (£22m) include a $13m-a-year deal (£8.96m) with sportswear firm Nike – which has partnerships with half of the top 100 stars. Is it all that he is good at?
The answer would be obviously no. With more than 500 goals and so many records this question is seriously baseless. He’s one of the fastest players in the world – so fast that the Daily Mail seriously compared one of his runs to Usain Bolt’s 100-yard dash. He’s also 6’1″ with incredible leaping ability – so much that Real Madrid set up a “Jump as High as Ronaldo” display after he scored a goal on a 9’4″ leaping header.
But with all these facts he is a great human being, and a man with a humble heart.
Last week I was making a story for euro 2016, title soccer player and there tattoos, and suddenly came to know that the great Ronaldo has no tattoos. Surprised!!!So for searching the same I come to know the reason behind this. And trust me as I read the reason I felt so happy and suddenly I started loving this man with respect.
You must be thinking that why I am going so round and round, so here is the reason. as he says “i don’t have tattoos because i donate blood very often,” he said, according to diretta news, while also taking the time to share a photo on his facebook page that showed him donating at a hospital. He reportedly gives twice a year. Isn’t it great? And yes one more thing he stays away alcohol, yes that true, the reason being he lost his dad for the same.
With donation blood twice a year, he helps no of charity organizations of the world and maybe that’s the reason he was named the most charitable sports star of 2015. And how can we forget when he helped a 10 month old child by donating his boots and a signed jersey for him old boy who needed brain surgery.
In 2012 the FIFA Ballon d’Or winner also helped a nine-year old Canaria native who was suffering from cancer of the spine. In 2012, he sold the Golden Boot he won in 2011 for €1.5million to donate the funds to Palestinian school children in Gaza. He is also involved in FIFA’s ’11 for Health which aims to raise awareness to children regarding drug addiction, HIV and obesity and many more.
My list will go on and on, but the one thing is for sure that this man is truly a star and a person who is just loved by everyone in this world.
Full respect to the living legend of the game Cristiano Ronaldo
