The dhak dhak girl of bollywood, the ever so gorgeous, Madhuri Dixit has been synonyms with dance since she entered the industry. Her beautiful looks, her killing wide smile and her gracious moves made her the reigning queen of the film industry.

The stage is set for the Indian edition of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. It’s a battle of Street v/s Stage. The opening episode of ‘So You Think You Can Dance…Ab India Ki Baari’ promises to be nothing less than breathtaking with Madhuri Dixit, Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis showcasing an amalgamation of dance styles setting the stage on fire. The grand premiere of ‘So You Think You Can Dance…Ab India Ki Baari’ starts today night at 8.30 pm on &TV.
An expression, a move, a beat or even a small mistake won’t go unnoticed by Madhuri Dixit, Terence Lewis or Bosco Martis — the esteemed judges on the show.
Madhuri Dixit, one of the judges on the show says, “The best part of taking up a show of such calibre is the fact that it brings forth exceptional talent from across nook and cranny of the country. Street vs Stage is exciting and something to watch out for.” She continues, “Each contestant comes with a story which is so full of passion that it will move you… and being a dancer myself, I can relate to this passion. Dance is a spiritual experience for me that leads to happiness. And this is the happiness I see in the contestants too.”
Madhuri Dixit is trained classical dancer and this is not the first time that she is judging a reality show based on dance. She’s been a constant judge on colors tv, celebrity dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja since season 5.
In 2013, Madhuri launched her own dance academy through an online website which is called “Dance with Madhuri”. The academy is accessible to 200 countries and has more than 200,000 frequent users. As well as Madhuri, other very well known dancing gurus have been teaching on “Dance with Madhuri” such as the National award winning choreographer Saroj Khan, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Remo D’souza and many more.
The dance academy teaches all types of dance forms such as Bollywood, Waltz, Samba, Dandia, etc. Madhuri also teaches one on one special classes, teaching her students some of her most memorable dance numbers such as Ek Do Teen, Mayi Ne Mayi, Aaja Nachle, Ghagra and Badi Mushkil.
