Dilip Kumar Get’s Discharged
Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalized for nearly a week due to respiratory problems, was discharged today. Dilip Kumar, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Saturday morning for treatment of high fever and nausea.
“He is fine. He is stable and normal now and so we have discharged him today,” said Dr. Jalil Parkar. Wearing a light pink color kurta-pyjama, Kumar came out on on a wheel chair accompanied by wife Saira Banu around noon.
Kumar’s wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said that the actor was hospitalized as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems. Dilip Kumar has been in and out of hospital over the span of last two years.
“Dilip sir has been discharged and he is back home. He is feeling better now”, said Saira Banu’s manager Murshid Khan. The veteran actor suffered high fever and vomiting on Saturday morning following which he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital.
Superstar Aamir Khan had come to meet the 93-year-old legend last evening.
The legendary actor, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, acted in many superhit films during his six-decade long career such as Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and Karma.
He was last seen on-screen in the film Qila in 1998. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
