Donald Trump’s Hollywood Star Destroyed
Its been a rough year for Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame star. First the star was graffiti-sprayed with a backwards swastika. Six months later it was defaced with a mute sign; a month later, it was ringed with a razor-topped miniature wall and now the star has suffered its latest indignity: Early Wednesday morning, it was annihilated by a guy wielding a sledgehammer and pickax.
Police tweeted Wednesday that they’re seeking the public’s help in identifying the vandalism suspect. The star – placed at the site in 2007 to honor Trump’s role on the NBC show.
According to the celebrity web site, the incident occurred about 5:45 a.m. when someone dressed as a construction worker showed up with the tools near the location.
The man identified himself as James Otis, an heir to the Otis family’s elevator fortune, in an interview with CNN on the Walk of Fame Wednesday morning. He said he was doing it to help the 11 women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, and other victims who he said could come forward in the future
