It is about the ending presidency of Barack Obama, The man who cleared the doubts of people on Democracy of United States by wining the Presidential elections in 2008.Obama in his farewell speech on 11th January encouraged people to take stand for US Values. George Washington started the trend of farewell speach in 1796. For many decades it was considered the most famous speech in American history.
Obama started his farewell speech by conluding and mentioning his personal life moments. “I first came to Chicago when I was in my early twenties, and I was still trying to figure out who I was; still searching for a purpose to my life. And it was a neighborhood not far from here where I began working with church groups in the shadows of closed steel mills. It was on these streets where I witnessed the power of faith, and the quiet dignity of working people in the face of struggle and loss.” He said by starting his speech. Later, he encouraged the people of America to take stand for US values and motivated them. He also made them believe to bring a new change by twittng on twitter after the final speech “Thank you for everything. My last ask is the same as my first. I’m asking you to believe—not in my ability to create change, but in yours.” he twitted.
At the end of the speech, Obama expressed his gratitude to his wife “Michelle” for being with him and motivating him on every spare of life and for making White House a place that belongs to everybody. In his speech he said, “Michelle LaVaughn Robinson of the South Side… for the past 25 years you have not only been my wife and mother of my children, you have been my best friend. You took on a role you didn’t ask for. And you made it your own with grace and with grit and with style, and good humor. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model.” His last words made everyone emotional.
