After ruling India for three hundred years , the British finally left, and then the subcontinent was partitioned into two independent nation states: Hindu-majority India and Muslim-majority Pakistan. And then begin one of the greatest migrations in human history.
Deaths,rape and almost all things happened in this partition and around 25 million people were relocated from their home. The horror and the magnitude of suffering were unimaginable and still it gives me Goosebumps to think about the situation.
India will be celebration its 70th independence day tomorrow, so here are some of the pictures from the great partition that depicts the situation the people faced at that time.
