HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
“A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best, but his mother the longest”
We all know that mother’s day is celebrated on second Sunday of May but only few of us know the origin of mother’s day, its like due to the campaign efforts of Anna Jarvis ,several states officially recognized Mother’s day , the first in 1910 being West Virginia, Jarvis’s home state. In 1914 Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation creating Mother’s Day, as national holiday to honor mothers.
One could imagine a life spending without their dad but mom never but there are some unfortunate people who are spending their life without their mom, mother is word which we cannot define in the single definition in fact mother has no definition to describe her love to their children. We cannot measure the love of mother to their children. Every mother is special to their children and every child is special to their mom .And it’s a saying that even god cannot take the place of mother, in this world every mother show her care, love, affection in her own unique way, there are also many creatures instead of human beings who as a mother show love and care to their children.
Yes I am talking about animals the creatures who cannot speak but they show their love to their children as other do in their own way. On this mother’s day everybody talks about their mother’s love but have ever you think about how animals mother take care to their children. Have a look,
# Cheetah
Cheetah mothers raise their young in isolation. They move their litter usually two to five cubs—every four days to prevent a build-up of smell that predators can track. After 18 months of training as hunters, the cheetah cubs finally leave their mothers. The cubs then form a sibling group that will stay together for another six months.
# Cow
Mother cows groom their caves for hours and as they reach adulthood spend hours grooming each other. They too form lifelong bonds even within a larger herd structure.
#Elephant
After 22 month long pregnancy the world’s largest babies around (250 POUNDS) elephants to be on this list even if they leave their babies. Baby elephants are born blind and completely dependent on their mother. While the baby is growing, they are fortunate enough to have a great support system consisting of multiple full-time babysitters, called “all mothers.” While the all mothers take care of the precious little one, the mother will work to eat as much as she can so she can make the most possible milk for her bundle of joy.
# Orangutans
Female Orangutans have to eight years between births the longest interbirth time of any great ape. Infant orangutans are completely dependent to their mother for the very first two years from their birth. Even if they get mature they stick to their mother very close. And female Orangutans show motherly love to their children all time no matter about the age.
# Polar Bear
By the time of pregnancy female polar bear eat enough as they can eat they need to provide nourishment to their cubs. When the cubs are born, they will be blind and weigh less than two pounds. While the mother will continue to refrain from eating while in the den area, the cubs will nurse, growing up to 30 pounds by the time they leave the den in spring. For the first couple of weeks outside the den, the mother will nibble on vegetation while the cubs adapt to walking and playing in the outdoors.
#Penguins
I think the cutest creature ever and the parenting of penguins in also done in its finest way after giving birth to baby penguin, female penguin will leave the family behind to replenish her body to sea. And leaving the father to take all parental responsibilities.
# Cat
Kittens and mother cats have share very precious bound between them. A newborn kitten is born blind. Its eyes normally do not open until it is 10 to 12 days old. Mother Nature has provided these little creatures with a wonderful “rooting reflex,” which enables them to find the source of their food. Finding the “milk source” is accomplished with help from mom, who encourages her young kittens to feed a few minutes after birth by licking and nuzzling them and guiding them toward her nipples. The mother cat will also attend to her kittens’ toiletries, too, by licking their hindquarters to stimulate the release of urine and feces, and by cleaning up after them.
# Dog
Dog can protect their puppies in many ways, like which is digging hole or trying to find a hiding spot to ‘NEST’. And even they protect their young ones by attacking other animal if they feel that they are threatening them. Not only but if stranger goes close to the puppies , dogs growls and stand in front of her puppies .
