Hillary & Bill Clinton; A Love Story Made In Heaven
Democratic party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton became the first women presidential candidate from a major American political party. And she is competing against the man with who think no one is superior to him Donald trump. What the future has stored for the lady is unknown to us, but all we know is that she is lady with husband like Bill and a mother of a beautiful daughter Chelsea. So here is the love story of Hillary Clinton .
When did they meet?
It all began in the library for Hillary and Bill. “I noticed that he kept looking over at me,” Hillary says. “He had been doing a lot of that.” After exchanging several looks back and forth, Hillary stood up and walked over to Bill. “I said ‘If you’re going to keep looking at me, and I’m going to keep looking back, we might as well be introduced — I’m Hillary Rodham,” she says. “The way Bill tells the story, he couldn’t remember his own name.”
How did he propose?
After her graduation from law school, Bill took Hillary on her first trip to Europe. The two landed in London, and Bill guided Hillary through all the city sites. As the sun was setting that first day, the couple found themselves standing on the shores of Lake Ennerdale and Bill proposed. “I was desperately in love with him but utterly confused about my life and future,” Hillary says. “So I said ‘No not now’ — what I meant was ‘Give me time.'” Bill proposed again and again, and Hillary always said no.
The Planning
According to the Clinton House Museum, Bill was the one who wanted an extravagant wedding bash, whereas Hillary didn’t even want an engagement ring (well, she did get a house out of the deal, so not a bad trade)! The compromise? An engagement party where Hillary met all of Bill’s friends — and then a small, intimate wedding and a big reception party to follow.
The Wedding
The future political powerhouses married on October 11, 1975 at a simple, at-home ceremony in Fayetteville, Arkansas in the infamous brick cottage that Bill had purchased. The ceremony was performed in the Clintons’ living room by Vic Nixon, a local minister. The next day, the Clinton family hosted a large wedding reception at Ann and Morris Henry’s house, who were their political friends — where Hillary announced to the crowd (and much to Bill’s mother’s chagrin) that she was keeping her maiden name, Rodham.
