Body painting is something which needs to be done precisely and asks years of practice and hard work. Have you ever heard the name Johannes Stötter. No. Do you remember the painting of a wolf which went viral few months ago? Yes well that was the work of Johannes.
Johannes Stötter is an Italian body painter who erases his models in landscapes and still life with a pretty mastery of painting, as a subtle camouflage. Johannes Stötter puts people at the heart of nature into fascinating compositions at the edge of surrealism.
The winner of the World Bodypainting Championship in 2012 says that the key to success is to love. On his site, he features several themes including animals, fruits and stunning photos of men and women blending in with beautiful landscapes. Most of his pictures are done by hiding humans within his paintings to fool the eye.
“I did my first body painting experiment in 2000. Five years earlier I had the idea to paint a human body but it took me until I was 23 to try it,” he told The Daily Mail.
