Randeep Hooda the renowned actor from the movies like once upon a time in Mumbai, and highway, and Sarabjit. Has taken a step to clean the beach in Mumbai with his NGO.

The Versova beach was one of the dirtiest beaches in the city.  The plan for cleaning this beach was dated back in 2015 when Mumbai based lawyer Afroz Shah talked about this openly and even mentioned in prime minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’.

since then cleaning of this beach was going on and after 80 weeks we can see a massive difference. in 2016 Shah also received champion of the earth award from the united nation. On June 5 they have planted nearly 300 coconut trees on the beach. they have removed tons of plastic from the beach and many other harmful things.

One massive turn comes after Ganpati Visarjan when almost 1400 Mumbaikars has helped to clean up the beach. Before Randeep Hooda, Amitabh Bachchan had also come to take part in this program. Randeep Hooda has shared many photos on his social media related to the work he has done and also shown the concern about certain things like pollution and future of our country.

Finally, after hard work and dedication of almost 88-90 weeks, the Versova beach is now clean and healthy for the people and almost 5 million kgs of plastic has been removed
