It is said that behind every successful man there is a women, and that women can be your mother, wife ,friend ,or sister, but in roger Federer’s case it is his lovely wife Mirka Vavrinec or in short just Mirka. it’s been 7 years to their marriage and around 16 years they know each other but still their love is visible in small –small things they do. So here let’s take a look to their love story.
HOW THE TWO MET
They first really met in the land down under during the Games of the XXVII Olympiad, or simply the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics. Roger was in the semi-finals in the Sydney Olympics, while Mirka was already out as she lost in the first round to Elena Dementieva. However, Roger lost to Tommy Haas, and it was the hardest defeat for him to take during that year
FALLING IN LOVE
Though Mirka last to the match but the one more thing she lost at that time was his heart to roger, and Roger might have lost his dream, but he wasn’t going back home empty-handed. And this was the first time without saying words the two fall in love with each other, a true example of love at first sight.
ROGER DID THE CHASING
After the games roger started falling Mirka wherever she goes, and was very eager to talk to her.and in in interview Quoting Mirka, ‘I couldn’t work out why he wanted to talk to me so much, and then, near the end of the Games, he kissed me.’
ROGER GOING WITH A PRICE
Just before the end of the Olympics, Federer ran into Mitzi Ingram Evans, an ITF player-media liaison officer. Federer said to her, ‘Mitzi, wait there, I have someone very special to introduce to you.’ He disappeared, and returned with pride and delight etched on his face, bringing a young lady with him. ’This is Mirka,’ he said.
MARRIAGE AND CHILDRENS
It was the start of their relationship and in 2009 they got married in Basel and few months later they got their first set of twin’s baby girl Charlene Riva and Myla Ross Federer.and in 2014 surprisingly Mirka gave birth to their second set of twins, this time boys named Leo Federer and Lennart Federer.
TALKING ABOUT MIRKA ROGER SAID IN AN INTERVIEW:
‘Mirka doesn’t want to be away from me, and I don’t want to be away from her. And like this we make it all work that we are actually together all year long, and maybe miss the girls and Mirka maybe one or two weeks during the year, which is just incredible that she’s willing to make all of that effort. I’m happy that it’s this way, because anything else would make it more difficult to compete and to play at the highest levels. It would basically be impossible.’
So ends the end of their short and sweet but steady love story ,and we hope they live together for years and Roger wins many more grand slams.
