Lipstick Under My Burkha is a story set in the crowded by-lanes of small town India, the secret lives of four women in search of a little freedom. Though stifled and trapped in their worlds, these four women desire through small acts of courage and stealthy rebellion.

It is a story about four women, who try to find themselves under the shade of burkha. The trailer uploads by Prakash Jha Productions starring seasoned actors like Ratna Pathak and Konkana Sharma with other talented newcomers, seems to promise to give voice to the otherwise burkha-clad women of India who are more than just faces hidden away.
