AASTHA KA BAZAR
The conchshell of Singhasta Mahakumbh has been blown with the ‘Peshwai’, a procession of sadhus and mahatmas, in the leadership of Mahamandleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giriji, with great glory, power, pomp and show. It is the largest worldwide religious event where approx. 10 million people are expected to visit Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal from india and all over the world.
A huge meet of millions of people, where approx. 35000 crore rupees are estimated to be spent, is beginning from 22nd April 2016. In India it is quite surprising that the people who spend money very smartly in consumer market, they spend blindly in the name of religion. You will witness this scenario in Singhasta Mahakumbh. The whole event is being organized with great glory, power, pomp and show and this all needs money. Our reknowned religious leaders admit their presence with thousand crore rupees to sepnd and simultaneously government and public spend in the same proportion. This money ultimately come in the market or we can say it comes through the path of religion but ultimately it is being released in the market.
If we expect the same people to spend that money in the consumer market they will ponder over twice, but in the name of religion they will dig deep into their pockets.
It is surprising that consumer market, on the basis of which we earn our livelihood, is struggling to survive and these so called unproductive markets are flourshing at their boom. The government is also trying its best to make these type of event successful by spending thousand of crore rupees, no matters it doesn’t has funds to spend on electrification, water supply arrangements, medical fecilities, sanitation, education and so on.
To be very precise the Indian consumer market is almost on the death bed and we are expecting ‘Achhe Din’ from the government. Every important sector like government, government machinary, religious leaders and consumer market is directly or indirectly treating this ‘Aastha Ka Mela’ in a commercial way and the main purpose of this event has been disappear. But finally by hook or by crook the money is freely flowing in the market. So, we hope that this ‘Aastha Ka Mahaparv – Singhasta Mahakumbh’ will enlighten the consumer market and give a new life to it.
