Around 100 Srilankan army officers visited IIM Indore on May 26, 2017. The purpose of their visit was to understand the education system, social life and the student life of the Indian students. Mr. Pranav Dubey gave a power point presentation mentioning the various programmes run by IIM Indore, infrastructure set-up and facilities available.
The officers enjoyed their visit to the Institute’s Learning Centre, Sports Complex, Academic Block, Stadium, hostels and canteens. Major Umesh Nayak, one of the instructors accompanying the Srilankan officers, said that IIM Indore is one of the top institutes of the nation and the visit helped the officers understand the education system in India in a wonderful way.
Colonel (Retd.) Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi, CAO, IIM Indore and Professor Kamal K. Jain, Dean, (Academic) also briefed the officers about the Institute and discussed various initiatives taken up by the Institute along with various recent activities held at the campus.
The Srilankan officers liked the facilities available in the campus and enjoyed the hospitality extended.
