6 Year Old SuperGirl Saved Her Friend From Crocodile Attack

We have been taught about the importance of relations in a very early age. But this little girl has truly set an example by saving her little friend from a dreadful attack.
A six year old girl in Kendrapara district, Odisha, showed immense courage to save her friend from claws of death, by saving her from a crocodile attack.
Survivor Basanti Dalai, a Class I student, is now going through treatment at a government-run hospital. She thanks her schoolmate Tiki Dalai for surviving the crocodile attack.
This all happened when both the little girls were taking bath in a village pound yesterday when a crocodile suddenly came from nowhere and attacked Basanti. Looking at her friend got attacked Tiki picked a bamboo stick and hit the animal away. The crocodile, that was clung on the victim left her slip into the water. She deserves praise for the brave act, said a local resident Pradip Kumar Das
“The attack was so sudden that I had little time to react. The stick lying near the pond saved my friend,” Tiki narrated.
The state Forest Department will bear the whole cost of the injured girl’s treatment.
Compensation as per rules is been given to the injured person’s family, said Divisional Forest Officer, Rajnagar Mangrove (wildlife) Forest Division, Bimal Prasanna Acharya.
“Forest department has taken several measures to save human and domesticated animals from preying crocs. Over two dozen riverside spots were identified as danger zones due to frequent sighting of reptiles in these places. Warning has been issued to people to avoid these troubled water zones. The bathing ghats which are vulnerable due to croc intrusion have been barricaded”, said officials.
