64th National Film Awards: Complete List Of Winners
The 64th National Awards jury is headed by film director Priyadarshan were announced today at the National Media Centre in New Delhi on April 7. National Film Awards Is The Most Prestigious Awards of the country. For the first time online submission was opened for the country’s filmmakers. 344 films were sent to the jury this year. The jury included Filmmaker Priyadarshan is the Jury Chairperson in Feature Films category, film director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi is the Jury Member for Film Friendly Award, acclaimed cinematographer, and writer Raju Misra is the Jury Chairperson in Non-Feature category and film critic Bhawana Somaaya is the Jury Chairperson in Writing Jury.

Best Film On Social Issue: Anirudha Roy Choudhary’s Pink
Best Action Director: Peter Hayne
Best Children’s Film: Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dhanak.
Best Supporting Actress award: Zaira Wasim for Dangal.
Best re-recording award: Priyanka Chopra produced Ventilator.
Best Special Effects: Navin Paul gets award for Best Special Affects for Shivaay
Best Hindi Film: Neerja to Ram Madhvani
Best Bengali film: Bisorjon directed by Kaushik Ganguly
Best Female Playback Singer: Bengali singer Imaan Chakravorty for the song Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho
Best Male Playback Singer: Sundara Iyer for Tamil film Joker
Best book on cinema was won by Lata Surgatha — a book that narrates the story of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Out of 33 books submitted in writing in cinema, jury selects G Dhananjayan as the Best Movie Critic. Uttar Pradesh was announced as the Most film friendly state by the jury. Special mention to the state of Jharkhand on jury’s recommendation.
