If black is beauty then I am the most beautiful woman in the world
‘DARK’ a word that brings a tingle to the spine, especially in those countries where the blight of colorism exists. Colorism is a global form of discrimination, an attitude that prefers lighter skin tones to darker ones, and considers those with naturally darker skin less desirable. Where at one side the world is going for fairer and brighter color of skins here is someone who is breaking the internet with her dark complexion, and trust me if I say that the woman I’m about to introduce you to is ,hands down, the most enchanting woman I have ever seen in a long time .
Because she is not perfect ,she is impeccable.
Meet Khoudia Diop or I should say ‘Melanin Goddess’. Yes this Senegalese/ French-born fashion icon is said to be the darkest model in Africa but still is breaking the internet with her dark skin .she came to limelight after photographed for Coloured Girl Campaign, a platform to celebrate black women and their different skin shades.
Diop has been called everything from “charcoal black” to “darky”, daughter of the night”, and “mother of stars” for her glistening complexion and features. Sharp. Beautiful. Black.
Her skin could be described as one the darkest shade of black if not the darkest on the skin of any person of color but still her stunning features add up to her beauty and with a look like that we swear she doesn’t need any makeup to look perfect because she is perfect.
On instagram she has around 143k followers and she uses hashtags like #blackgirlmagic, #flexingmycomplexion and #darkchocolate to make a fashion statement on dark skin with each of her breathtaking photoshoots.
Dio calls herself Melanin a much-hated pigment that gives the skin colour – by refusing to bleach her skin. And after watching her I can simple say that she is beautiful and stunning?
