The author of ‘Eat , Pray , Love’ Elizabeth Gilbert has declared that she has fallen in love with her female best friend Ryya Elias , and that is why she left her husband of 10 years Jose Nunes . Elizabeth wrote in a post on July 1 ““Our split is very amicable. Our reasons are very personal.” The author requested at the time that fans respect her privacy, as “this is a story that I am living – not a story that I am telling.” But now it looks like she has become comfortable with explaining why the split occurred. And if she is happy, we are happy for her!
“There is something I wish to tell you today — something which I hope and trust you will receive with grace,” Elizabeth Gilbert, 46, wrote in a Facebook post on Sept. 7. “This spring, I received news that would change my life forever. My best friend Rayya Elias was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer — a disease for which there is no cure. In the moment I first learned of Rayya’s diagnosis, a trap door opened at the bottom of my heart (a trap door I didn’t even know was there) and my entire existence fell straight through that door. From that moment forward, everything became about HER. I cancelled everything in my life that could be cancelled, and I went straight to her side, where I have been ever since.
“Elizabeth Gilbert is not a single women who broke up her 10 years relation of husband –wife but there are other celebrities too who ditched their husbands or boyfriends for the company of another woman (or women) . These sound so exhausting, dramatic, and often shock us but yes, it’s true”.
