Happy Birthday Pancham Da !!!
R.D Barman the legendary singer of all the times who can we forget him today’s is him 77th Birthday and the whole India going to be celebrate his birthday, R.D. Barman (Rahul Dev Barman) was a an Indian film scorer composer, he always known by the nickname of Puncham da, and he was the only son of composer Sachin Dev Barman. Somewhere now also in houses our old grandfather and grandmother are still connected to the memories of pancham da, they all listen to the songs composed and sung by pancham da.
Today on his birthday we are going to take you some old memories of his life related to music, he has given a remarkable sign in the music world of Bollywood industry. From the 1960s to the 1990s, R. D. Burman composed musical scores for 331 films R. D. Burman did major work with Asha Bhosle (his wife) and Kishore Kumar, and scored many of the songs that made these singers famous. He also scored many songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar . He served as an influence to the next generation of Indian music directors, and his songs continue to be popular in India even after his death.
Burman’s first hit film as a film music director was Teesri Manzil (1966). Teesri Manzil had six songs, all of which were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and sung by Mohd. Rafi. Four of these were duets with Asha Bhosle whom Burman later married.
In the 1970s, R. D. Burman became highly popular with the Kishor Kumar songs in Rajesh Khanna -starrer films. Kati Patang (1970), a musical hit, was the beginning of a series of the 1970s films directed by Shakti Samanta of Aradhana fame. Its songs Yeh Shaam Mastani and Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai, sung by Kishore Kumar, became instant hits. Apart from Kishore Kumar, R. D. Burman also composed several of the popular songs sung by Mohd. Rafi Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.
Panchan da, for his great work in music industry praised by all and still praising for his phenomenon contribution in music he also had received many awards.
