#Kariman Abuljadayel’s Run For Respect
This picture need no introduction and for sure this will be in history books for years. Karim Abuljadayel becomes the only Saudi woman to compete in the 100m and that too in full body kit and hijab. Abuljadayel, completed the race in 14.61 seconds, lagging far behind the current world record of 10.49 seconds set by American Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988. She came seventh in her preliminary heat, meaning she was eliminated from the games, but her participation earned widespread praise on social media. Abuljadayel, 22, follows in the footsteps of Sarah Attar, the first female track athlete to compete for Saudi Arabia in the Olympics in 2012, and the first to compete in a hijab.

Emotional, exasperated but overjoyed, Wiggins thanked his teammates before telling MailOnline that he was retiring from competitive cycling.
#Michael Phelps’ Three Finger Sign
Michael Phelps’ last individual event wasn’t a golden one but a bronze medal, and at least this shows that he is a human after all. Joseph Schooling, a 21-year-old from Singapore, took home the gold with a record time of 50.39 seconds. But what he is trying to say with this sign. Actually Phelps touched the wall at the same moment as South Africa’s Chad le Clos and Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh, all three recording a time of 51.14 seconds that means there was a tie of three for the last spot. ‘It is a wild way to end my individual career. It is just wild,’ Phelps said after the race. I was like ‘Three? Three of us tied for third?’ Schooling first met Phelps at a training camp in Singapore in 2008, the same year Phelps would compete in Beijing, seems like we got new fish in the town.
