Telangana Minister “Sold” Ice Cream, “Earned” Rs 7.30 Lakh
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao‘s son and Cabinet Minister K. T. Rama Rao earned Rs 7.30 lakh by selling ice creams and juices on Friday at Las Vegas Diners in Suchitra Circle, Qutballapur on the Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway.
He worked to raise funds for a party’s plenary meeting to be held in Hyderabad on 21st April and a public meeting to be held at Warangal on 27th April. This was a part of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) ‘Gulabi Coolie Varotsavalu’.
Under ‘Gulabi Coolie Varotsavalu’, the ministers, legislators and party cadre have decided to work as “coolies” for two days. The ‘Gulabi (pink) coolie days’ are willing to be celebrated from April 14- April 20. In order to meet the transportation and other cost, Chandrasekhar Rao, also the TRS chief has urged very party worker to work.
MP Ch. Malla Reddy bought ice cream worth Rs.5 lakh, TRS leader K. Srinivas Reddy made purchase of Rs.1.30 lakh and Las Vegas Diners Managing Partner K. Sankeerth Reddy bought a juice for Rs.1 lakh.
The crowd got chilled watching the minister serving ice cream and juices. People got their pictures clicked, posed with the minister. “He was cool and we are glad he had selected our place to work. It was nice talking to him,” said Sankeerth Reddy.
