This Waterfall In Portugal Is Mesmerising

There are many fascinating places to see on this earth, from splendid man-made structure to natural spots everything is just worth visiting. And one such place is in Portugal. Have you ever heard the name Covão do Conchos. No than here is all you need to know about this.
Built in 1955, the small dam diverts water from Ribeira das Naves to Lagoa comprida dam through a 1519 m (4,984 ft) long tunnel. This mesmerising whirlpool, known as Covao do Conchos, has churned away for 60 years in the middle of an otherwise tranquil body of water among the mountains of the Serra de Estrela in Portugal.
So when you first look at this it looks like a natural hole but this is creativity.The hole is actually a dam, which collects water from Ribeira das Naves and diverts it to the Bayou Lagoon Long. The water usually only flows into the spillway during flood periods, meaning this spectacle can only be seen for a short time every year.
So now if you ever visit Portugal, try to make a plan to visit this amazing thing and remember you have to walk few Kilo meters to witness this extraordinary structure.
