Western tunes inspired by Bollywood dhun
Bollywood has time and again been in the news for taking inspiration from Hollywood, be it movies, songs, stunts or even the movie posters. But now the tables have turned with Hollywood seeking inspiration from Bollywood songs.
There have been several songs in west which are copied from our music.

. Dum Dum
Jelena Karleusa Tosic, professionally known under her maiden name Jelena Karleusa and initials JK, is a Serbian pop singer, and former columnist. She used the popular Dum Dum song starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh in her music album as Nova Religija.
. Chaiyya Chaiyya
Hollywood film, Inside Man used Chaiyya Chaiyya for their opening credits.
. Chalka Chalka
This song from Saathiya movie was used in the Hollywood flick Accidental Husband.
. Urvasi Urvasi
Will.I.Am collaborated with Cody Wise for It’s My Birthday, the Hollywood version of Urvasi Urvasi.
. Mela
A song from Aamir Khan starrer Mela was used in the Hollywood flick, The Guru.
. Gumnaam
In Hollywood flick Ghost World’s opening credits, they had used Gumnaam song.
. Dhoom Machale
Goga Sekulic is a Montenegrin and Serbian turbo-folk singer. She used the music of this song in her album as Naocare.
. Chamak Challo and Yeh Ishq Haaye
Dara Bubamara is the stage name of a popular Serbian pop-folk singer who has sung her own version of these two popular Bollywood songs as Balkanac and Nemam Elana respectively.
. Mahi Mahi
Violeta “Viki” Miljkovic is a Serbian singer who is popular in the former Yugoslav republics. She used the Mahi Mahi song from Priyanka Chopra starrer Kismat in her album as Mahi Mahi. She even retained a step from the movie as well.
