Flexibility is something not everyone is good at. Many of us are happy if we can touch our toes, and even the most enthusiastic yoga devotee draws the line at an elaborate back bend. And some of us feel like a God when they can do split.
Have you ever seen anyone who can fix in a glass jar? No then here we have someone who is at this. Meet Odka, a Mongolian circus performer who has been training for more than a decade and now she is now so flexible that she can fold her entire body inside a plastic bottle. Yes you read it right. Odka can also shoot a bow and arrow with her feet while doing a hand stand .
Odka started to follow her passion by watching her aunt at the age of 11. At the age of 15 Odeka left her parents and her home to join a Turkish circus.
According to the Daily Record, she spent her childhood learning how to stretch and strengthen her muscles so that she could bend her body into mystifying poses.
‘At first the practice was basic, not too much,’ she told the newspaper. ‘I was slow, slow at getting better. I trained after school every day. Six days a week I was training.’
Her act is in two parts.
First, she folds herself into a bottle. It’s the kind of flagon that Uncle Terry used for making homebrew in the shed … with a door cut in the front.
Somehow she doubles her limbs on top of themselves, slides in her head and shuts the door. Getting out again looks even harder – although she does it with huge poise and grace, while wearing enormous false eyelashes.
Now the 22-year-old Odka is touring the UK as part of Cirque Berserk and audience just loves her performance .
