BCCI hunts coach for team India,Anil Gets a Upper Edge
The BBCI is all set to hunt the coach for Indian cricket team, and there are many names that are making rounds, but the one that is most probably having the edge is none other than Anil Kumble.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has handed to the committee a trimmed list of 21 names — down for 57 candidates — as a prolonged drama plays out over the new coach. The team has been without a coach since ICC World Twenty20 ended in first week of April.
The possible names are Ravi Shastri, Sandeep Patil, Vikram Rathour, Pravin Amre, Venkatesh Prasad, Lalchand Rajput, Stuart Law and Tom Moody.
The one thing that is giving Anil the edge is that he is one of the most respected cricketers in Indian and the temper he has is very much suited to handle the young boys of India with high ego and anger. In terms of on-field achievements, too, the 45-year-old is way ahead of the pack.
On the other hand Ravi Shastri is another name that has huge chances of selection. Shastri is hugely popular with the team and apparently enjoys Kohli’s support as well. He has been outspoken about the team’s needs and defended it in troubled times but hasn’t delivered where it matters the most — ICC events.
But the one factor that can stop Ravi is that he has not been so successful and has a average career. So let’s see who wins the match of the coach of team India.
