Demand of Shakira Teases Her Return to ‘The Voice’
The Colombian singer voices an animated gazelle called, Gazelle, in the new movie due for release on 26 February. Shakira hasn’t been a coach on “The voice” since 2014 but that doesn’t mean she won’t return. Shakira admitted she missed her fellow coaches, but left the show because her “life had to move on. Just don’t look for her in one of the show’s iconic swivel chairs.
“May be to perform,” the Colombian pop songstress teased me last night at the premiere of new animated flick ‘Zootopia’. Said , she had to do other things, and take care of my baby. I got pregnant again. I have been operating among pacifiers and bottles and diapers and now I am ready to make new music again. I’m really hungry and thirsty for it.”
When she saw the first sketches of her character, she insisted that she have fuller hips. Shakira said that it was hard for for him. The concept of his mam being a gazelle and gazelle being his mom. But he started to understand mom did the voice of the character and it is an animated character.
She said “I love that she is opinionated and she cares about her people. She feels she has a social responsibility,” the 39-year-old told reporters at the film’s world premiere in Barcelona. “I feel like her and I have a common denominator. When the directors told me about her I said ‘That is me’, but she was too slim so I asked them to give her more curves and put more meat on the bones. She needs bigger hips so she has them now.”
She has spent plenty of time making music in recording studios, she found the process of voicing a character different. “It’s a process in which you have certain creative licence but different to the kind you have as a performer”. It was so interested for me “I thought they were going to animate before I recorded the voice but it was the opposite; they recorded my voice to capture the emotions of the scene and then animated the character to my voice to reproduce the expressions.
