Maruti Suzuki to Recall 75,419 vehicles
Maruti Suzuki which is one of the biggest selling car company in India is set to recall 75,416 vehicles to upgrade the airbag controller software and replace a faulty fuel filter, the company said in a statement on Friday.
While the company will be recalling 75,419 units of the Baleno for issue with the airbags, 1,961 units of the Swift DZire will be recalled for inspection and replacement of a faulty fuel filter. Maruti has claimed that this recall has been issued proactively and voluntarily taking customer safety into consideration.
The company has announced that starting 31 May 2016, Maruti Suzuki dealers will contact the owners of the respective vehicles that come under the recall criteria. Maruti has also said that both the software upgrade and the replacement of faulty fuel filter, will be done free of cost.
