Mahira khan is all set to debut in bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees and despite Raj Thackeray’s ‘go-ahead’ to Shah Rukh Khan on a safe release for ‘Raees’, this recent viral video of Mahira could land the makers in trouble. The video is from 2011 in which Mahira is seen chatting with Pakistani comedian Omar Sharif.
The clip shows Mahira Khan speaking ill about India. She said “Aapko India se inspire nahi hona chahiye. Bilkul nahi. Hum Bollywood nahi hain (You should not get inspired from India. Not at all. We are not Bollywood).”
After the Uri attack the India-Pakistan relation worsened, and following this all Pakistani individuals were banned from working in India thanks to some passionate protesting by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).”
Earlier this month, Shah Rukh Khan assured Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray that Mahira Khan will not come to India for promoting the film, and on the other hand few days ago we saw how Mahira was promoting Raees on Instagram by wearing a tee of Raees which had her dialogue written.
The movie directed by Rahul Dholakia is set to release on January 25. Now let’s see what this video of Mahira will do to the release of the movie.
