A Flying Jatt: Superhero jatt flying with a strong message!
A Flying Jatt directed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza is a superhero drama all set to hit the theaters tomorrow on Janmashtami. The title of the movie surely suits the dynamic personality Tiger Shroff, who will play the main lead. The stunning actress Jacqueline Fernandez and professional wrestler Nathan Jones has also roped in for the film. The film not only piques curiosity for the theme it deals with but also poses thought provoking questions about the kind of world people are creating for themselves.
A superhero wearing a blue bodysuit with face covered with a mask having all superpowers that we expect from a superhero but… doesn’t know how to use them; creates laughter and lots of fun for the audience. The movie has a unique plot that will definitely entertain people much. The Flying Jatt with his fear of heights, as his mother (Amrita Singh) complains, flies down into a police jeep and then gets his cape stuck in the tire. But when a suit-wearing Kay Kay Menon unleashes his nemesis (Mad Max:actor Nathan Jones) on the world, the Flying Jatt trains hard and gets back on his feet to fight the evil, on land, under water, in the skies, and even on the moon. The antagonist named Raka, played by Nathan Jones, is a man who thrives on pollution. He derives his demonic powers from the filth and dirt around. He beats him bloody, but ends up giving him purpose. Tiger comically struggles to juggle his ordinary life with that of his super heroic acts. Will this jatt save the world from the menacing Kay Kay Menon, who plots to unleash terror onto the world?
A Flying Jatt is a superhero film and it is no doubt that the music of the film has hit the chartbusters as they are duly composed by Sachin-Jigar. Here’s a peak to this romantic, enthralling album.
The title track of A Flying Jatt is a Punjabi number sung by Raftaar, Mansheel Gujaral and Tanishkaa. High on energy and full-on swag, the track is a hip-hop style number with Punjabi lyrics. It is one of those numbers that is high on the ‘swag’ quotient and will get you grooving instantly. Bhangra adds to the quirkiness of the already-fast-paced music. The lyrics of the song are catchy and if you really want to enjoy the song, maximize your volume and just get going.
Toota Jo Kabhi Taara crooned by Atif Aslam and Sumedha Karmahe, is a the slow-paced track soft on the ears and perfect to set a lovey-dovey mood. This love ditty offers a contrast to the otherwise bhangra infused songs of the album and sounds pretty melodic.
Khair Mangda is a soulful track where Atif puts his best efforts to make the song high on emotion. His voice is so natural and fits well to the sufi beats in the song. This is probably the best song in the whole album, but yes it’s a situational one.
Bhangda pa, written by Mayur Puri and sung by the verve it deserves by Vishal Dadlani, Divya Kumar and Asees Kaur offers some good clean bhangra bonhomie. Dadlani, gives this song a dose of electrifying energy. While the foot tapping track takes off big and seems like an entertaining high voltage number, two minutes into it and the song starts to lose its luster.
Beat Pe Booty, mind it this is one of the songs which is ruling the music charts. While the video has already created a sensation, the audio track is definitely going to be a party starter. Jacqueline Fernandez’s moves in the song are already a hot topic of discussion. Singers Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya along with Vayu and Kanika Kapoor have bought in that right element of naughtiness in the song.
There would be no better song than Daler Mehndi’s Raj Karega Khalsa to end this jukebox. This theme track comes with full force. It might perhaps be played during the hero’s cataclysmic battle with the arch villain. This war cry, is written by Priya Saraiya and sung with a lot of josh by Daler.
Sachin-Jigar seemed to have outdone themselves in the album. The album has all the variations in the music, from being fast-paced and energetic to romantic and soulful numbers.
If Tiger Shroff’s endearing and action-packed superhero act and the fight scenes and gravity-defying stunts weren’t enough, there’s this sizzling chemistry between him and Jacqueline Fernandez to watch for. The film has the same old story line that our Bollywood films have recycled and sold over the century – the good defeating the evil. In the epic face-off between good and evil, the writers have created a touching story that gives a strong message about creating a clean world.
