Disney confirms sequel to The Jungle Book
Jon Favreau directed, Hollywood film, ‘The Jungle Book’ has created mayhem at the Indian Box Office. Despite of a big release Fan (according to the Indian market), The Jungle Book continues its dream run at the ticket counter.
Though the film is still running in the theatres, we hear that Disney has already announced its sequel.
Apart from The Jungle Book, Disney has announced sequels to multiple films including, Maleficent, A Wrinkle in Time, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Mary Poppins and even a spin off to the film101 Dalmatians titled Cruella. While all the films have been announced, considering that they are still far off from going on floors, a couple of titles are likely to be dropped.
The Jungle Book, which released on 8 April 2016 in the Indian region, is an American fantasy adventure film based on Rudyard Kipling’s eponymous collective works and inspired by Walt Disney’s 1967 animated film of the same name.
The film introduced Neel Sethi as Mowgli and also featured the voices of Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken.
The hindi dubbed version featured voices of Irfan Khan, Om Puri, Priyanka Chopra, Nana Patekar and Shefali Shah.
As for the sequel to The Jungle Book, the film will see director Jon Favreau and writer Justin Marks returning for another trip into the wild.
