Oppo to set up 1,000 crore investment in Andhra Pradesh
Chinese smartphone firm is likely looking to invest Rs. 1,000 crore to set up a manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh which is likely to create 25,000 jobs in the state. A meeting with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Guiyang on the fourth day of his trip to China and showed interest in setting up a unit in the state with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore,” a CMO statement said. Chief minister also asked to present details about the investment.
Oppo, which entered India in 2014 and has a manufacturing plant at Noida, said the facility would create employment for 25,000 people. Both Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh and Guizhou produce a special red chilli on which Naidu suggested that both sides could collaborate to boost production.
