Mr Satish Nadiger, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and Director, John Deere India Private Limited believe that India has started from an agrarian economy to industrial economy then to service economy. “When we move to the service sector, with all the IT, we have the challenge to empower youth. The major agenda is to empower the youth form rural sector, skill the rural youth to be able to operate the machine. If we look at what is happening in the agricultural sector, the youth is not willing to do the laborious work and aren’t even educated enough to work.”

Mr Satish Nadiger

He took to example of driving a tractor and operating a tractor, saying this is what we are working on.
