The ninth seed Spaniard Rafael Nadal is through to the final of the Australian open. The gladiator defeated Grigor Dimitrov by 6-3, 5-7, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 in five hours.

Nadal will face Swiss Roger Federer in Sundays final. This will going to be a dream final as many fans were waiting to see both players after a long time. The last time the duo battled in the final at Melbourne Park was in 2009, which the Spanish bull won.

 Federer, 35, is returning from six months out following knee surgery while Nadal, 30, had an injury-ravaged 2016. He  booked his berth in the final with a gripping 7-5, 6-3, 1-6, 4-6, 6-3 win over Swiss compatriot Stan Wawrinka yesterday.

Nadal previously defeated Milos Raonic in the quarterfinal.
