Indian born digital strategist Sagar Taneja created different versions of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and more on his viral Instagram account called Bollywood South Park.The post is shared by Firstpost and the Stars from Bollywood got a South Park avatar.

Bollywood South Park recently came into light when Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh shared the Bollywood South Park avatar of Gunday on its third anniversary, on social media.

“ I created the first Bollywood South Park avatar when I was working for a digital marketing company in Mumbai. We were working on Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 and Excel Entertainment was one of our clients. We were trying to come up with some-out-of-the-box ideas to promote the film. So I made an avatar of Shah Rukh Khan from the movie and shared it on Don 2’s Facebook page. Within hours, it got more than a 1,000 Likes. We gifted a huge poster of the avatar to Farhan Akhtar and I was told that he really loved it! This motivated me to make another one for the next Bollywood movie we were working on, Talaash, as well, and that got a lot of love too. But it wasn’t until two years back that I actually thought of doing it regularly”, Taneja said.

He says, “I pick characters and not films. I like to make avatars of interesting and unique characters like Shah Rukh Khan in Raees and Aamir Khan in Dangal. I have done many quirky characters too, like Crime Master Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna, and Arnab Goswami, when he quit Times Now”.

“Viacom 18 Motion Pictures approached me for the promotion of Manjhi, Shemaroo asked me to work with them, and the Mumbai Film Festival collaborated with me for the promotion of its 2015 edition. I have made Bollywood South Park avatars for each of them and hope to do more work with them in future . In fact, recently a Silicon Valley start up reached out to me for doing a company’s mascot. So I’m just happy that this has taken off in such a big way!” he added.
