Have you ever imagined a house which has two countries in it? No than here is an interesting story for you. Longwa village, in Nagaland is a village where people enjoy dual Citizenship and you will not know whether you are standing in India or in Myanmar.

Nagaland is one of the seven sisters of Northeast India consists of 11 districts. Among them, the district Mon lies in the northernmost part of the state. One of the largest villages in Mon district is Longwa. The village has almost 30 percent of its households on the other side of the international boundary where Assam Rifles personnel keep strict vigil from a hilltop to maintain the sanctity of the border.

You will be surprised to know that the boundary between India and Myanmar passes across the King’s house of this village. So technically, half of his house is in India and the other half in Myanmar. And the people here don’t need any visa to move to the other country Myanmar.

“The Angh” is the hereditary chief or the king of the Konyak Naga and he has 60 wife’s. He rules over more than 70 villages extended up to Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Arunachal Pradesh. The kings house is divided into two parts India and Myanmar and he eats food in Myanmar while sleep in India.

The Konyak tribe is very famous for their violent head hunting with their tattooed inked faces. Konyak warrior with the maximum numbers of his enemies’ heads is considered to be the mightiest of all.
