The luxury vehicle brand, Jaguar Land Rover has recently released its most powerful car XE SV Project 8. This fastest accelerating jaguar has the top speed of 200mph and can accelerate 0 to 60mph in just 3.3 seconds. This new XE SV Project 8 will cost £150,000 that is 5 times the price of a normal XE. Only 300 cars of this project will be made and its debut will be made at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Friday, June 30.
Earlier, ‘The Most Powerful Jaguar Car’ title was earlier given to the XJ220 that was launched in 1992-93. But this new model stole the spot light by its 600 horse power. Only 300 in-total exclusive vehicles will be available in both road and track versions. The track version will weigh less with the addition of carbon fiber race seats in the front and no seats at the back.

Jaguar design director Ian Callum said, “the aerodynamic elements are hugely significant beyond 150mph, even more so beyond 180mph. This is one of the most extreme vehicles we have ever created, but still very much a Jaguar.”
Mark Staunton, director of Special Vehicle Operations added, “It is the most track-focussed road-going Jaguar ever. It has been created by a team of enthusiasts for enthusiastic drivers. Its form follows function. We have really been able to unleash the potential of our engineering and design teams. The SVO team is full of performance car enthusiasts that are now briefed to deliver Motorsport science and soul in what is effectively a four-door supercar. All 300 will be left-hand drive and all will be unique.”
John Edwards, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations managing director, said, “Project 8 is a great example of what happens when enthusiastic designers, engineers and manufacturing specialists are given the opportunity to create an extreme performance sports car without compromise.”
Vehicle engineering manager Stuart Adlard said, “It’s a Jaguar, but not like any Jaguar you have seen before. And its growl sounds like no other Jaguar.”
Designer Wayne Burgess said, “It’s every schoolboy’s dream to design a supercar, and now I’ve fulfilled mine. The challenge was to fit the biggest engine into the smallest saloon car. We had to shrink-wrap the skin over the mechanics.”
